App demo video production
A good app demo gives people one clear reason to understand the product. I build short product films around the real interface and the moment the viewer needs to see.
Start with the viewer’s question
Before choosing transitions or captions, decide what a new user needs to understand. Is the goal to introduce the product, explain one feature, or show how a workflow feels? A tight brief keeps the demo focused.
Use the real product
Use current screens or a recording from the app so the finished piece reflects what the product actually does. I can shape supplied capture into a sequence, add motion, and make the interface readable at the intended size.
Design for each format
A vertical cut and a widescreen cut have different viewing space. For Focentra, I composed separate 9:16 and 16:9 versions, adjusting framing and type scale instead of relying on an automatic crop.
What to send with a brief
Share access to the app or current screen recordings, the feature to focus on, brand assets, intended audience and placement, preferred formats, any voiceover or music requirements, and who will review the draft. If details are still open, a short product walkthrough is enough to start the conversation.
